About Our Team

The EU-iBCI consortium brings together European experts in neuroscience, neurosurgery, neuroengineering and computational sciences to develop the next generation of implantable BCIs. Our goal is to restore a broad range of human functions, including communication and movement after stroke or spinal cord injury, speech, vision through cortical prostheses, and potentially cognitive functions. By combining high-density neural recording, stimulation, artificial sensory feedback and advanced decoding, we aim to create bidirectional neurotechnologies that can restore meaningful interaction with the world and ultimately improve independence and quality of life.
